I can’t let the first day of Spring go by without acknowledging it personally. It’s my favorite time of the year. You don’t need boots and coats anymore, and you don’t yet need your air conditioners. You can just open your windows and let the fresh air in and enjoy it.
My cabin fever starts to break around March, and I'm in full swing come Spring Day! I’m ready to break out of my house and enjoy the outdoors. I’m ready to start exercising outside by taking walks in the neighborhood. I am looking forward to opening my office windows and watching the birds pause on the ledge to chat before they fly away. I'm looking forward to going kite flying!
I really do like to do Spring cleaning. This weekend past, my friend Laura, visited me, and we did a lot of yard work in my front yard and we rearranged my basement furniture. We ate plenty of dinners out and watched movies, but we worked really hard at organizing things too.
However, my favorite thing about the first day of Spring is it is my, and Jan Beasley’s, birthday!
