Business blogging anyone?

How many of you are blogging or working with clients that do? I'm curious about how business blogging is impacting the VA industry and our clients. Have you wondered about that same thing, too? I'd love to hear how your blog and/or your client's blog has impacted your business.

Here are a few of the questions running through my mind:

What are you/your client finding to be the benefits? What are you/your client finding to be the most difficult? What basic theme have you/your client chosen to write about?

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

For those of you who are blogging or have clients that do, here's a helpful list containing some Web sites that offer free stock images.  I found this at BusinessBlogwire, and thought you’d like to check it out, too.

1. Stock.xchng - Tons of copyright-free images.

2. Flickr - Probably the best-designed photo sharing site.  Owned by Yahoo!

3. Webshots - Bazillions of user-submitted photos.

4. EveryStockPhoto - A fine search engine scouring the Web for free stock images.

5. Fotki - A popular photo sharing community.

6. Fotolog - A photo sharing site with an international focus.

7. Fotologue - A Japanese image sharing site.

8. StockVault - A big vault of free images.

9. Riya - An excellent image search engine.

10. Yotophoto - An image search engine devoted to free images and photos.

11. eConsultant - Has lots of links to free photo sharing sites. Updated regularly.

12. Categoriz - Has a bunch more links to image sharing sites. Also updated regularly.

I’ll add one to this list, too : Fotosearch (I use this one often!)   Have you any to add or delete?  Why not share your thoughts here?

» Everything I see reminds me of blogging from The "A-Ha!" Blog
You know that feeling the one where you notice something once, and then you start to see it everywhere? Its like a little Law of Attraction thing, where the more you start thinking about it, the more you draw it to yourself. Well, that&... [Read More]

In order to keep a focused answer...

What are you/your client finding to be the benefits?

Establishing credibility, building relationships, bettering our site metrics, and just having the outlet to riff on our passions in a strategic and fun way!

What are you/your client finding to be the most difficult?

Making tweaks and tech upgrades, understanding/implementing ALL the benefits of blogging (like using trackbacks, for example).

What basic theme have you/your client chosen to write about?

How service professionals, solo-preneurs and small biz dynamos can "A-Ha Themselves!" by:

1. Using conversational content...
2. In as many different ways as they and their audience enjoy, and...
3. In ways that demonstrate their passion and expertise...
4. To build trust, reputation, relationships, and profitability in a dignified way!

(And hopefully with our blog, we're walking that talk!)

Cheers,
Allen Voivod

Thanks so much, Allen, for joining in! Your points are excellently stated.

I'm wondering if "making tweaks and upgrades" (the tech aspects) is what hinders many from taking the plunge. It sounds like you're certainly convinced that the benefits outweigh the learning curve -- "establishing credibility and building relationships" -- yes!!

I highly recommend our readers to check out Lani's recent post directed to "Dear non-blogger ..." It's great!

Gee, I'd surely like to hear from others who are biz-blogging. Anyone else care to address the questions posed? Pretty please!! ;)
